Located on River Road/Highway 89 in the heart of Tahoe City, Truckee River Raft excursions consist of a leisurely, self-guided, five-mile float down the Truckee River. The voyage is perfect for family and friends of all ages. You'll cruise through mellow and serene areas with picturesque mountain views and lively little rapids, punctuated here and there with perfect swimming holes and picnic spots. They happily welcome dogs and encourage you to bring lunch and drinks (but remember, NO Styrofoam or glass) or just enjoy the view! The adventure usually takes 2 to 3 hours to complete. They are the only rafting concession that exits directly onto the River Ranch Patio.
Amazing Group rates are available, and don't forget to ask about the Early and Late Bird Specials! Hours of operation are June/July- August/September 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily (water and weather permitting). Footwear is mandatory.
They have a large parking lot across from the River Ranch called Hidden Valley where rafters can sign up and ride our free shuttle bus to the start of the trip. This is a great place to park because you take the bus in the beginning and end up at your car after the float! We also have limited parking at the start but this fills up fast and we encourage rafters to park in the large Hidden Valley lot. Shuttle bus serves patrons from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All Trips Include: Free parking, shuttle bus, paddles, and life jackets for rafters 2 years and older. They welcome young rafters of all ages so if you have children younger than 2 we require you to bring the proper life jackets for them. All rafts are large, sturdy, commercial white water grade and comfortable for 2-20 people!
