On Hwy. 89, 10 miles south of Tahoe City, adjacent to Meeks Bay Campground, you will find a long stretch of white sand beach on the west shore's famed crystal blue waters with a boat launch, restrooms, and picnic facilities.
The Meeks Bay shoreline is popular for its beautiful scenery, sprawling clean beaches and easy access. The area offers a high concentration of recreation opportunities including camping, swimming, biking, boating and hiking into the nearby Desolation Wilderness.
