Bluesdays Tuesdays at Squaw Valley, 6-8pm
Tuesdays are Bluesdays at Squaw Valley! Join blues musicians at the iconic Squaw Valley ski resort on Tuesdays in the village, alongside a variety of great dining options are available. Hear well-known blues artists like The Blues Monsters, guitarists Debbie Davies and Coco Montoya, and Mississippi’s Cedric Burnside, among others. Concerts run through September 4. Stay nearby
Music in the Park Wednesdays at Truckee Regional Park, 6:30pm
Enjoy an ideal family-friendly setting for Music in the Park on Wednedays. This outdoor amphitheater has a large grassy lawn where guests are invited to bring blankets and a picnic and enjoy the entertainment. Hear a variety of genres, from the classic rock band Tom Petty Tribute to the Airforce Band of the Golden West’s jazz, to country rock with Mark Mackay, and more. Concerts run through August 29. Truckee Thursdays in Downtown Truckee, 5-8:30pm
Truckee Thursdays is Truckee’s weekly summer block party, drawing vendors from across Tahoe with locally-made crafts, great local food trucks, music, kids' games, a farmers' market and more. Stroll through Historic Downtown Truckee on the closed-to-traffic street and stop by the shops, which stay open late. A beer garden and free live music entertains, with some of Tahoe’s favorite local bands like the funky styling of Sam Ravenna, The Sextones, and The Rad Trads. The block party runs through August 23. Music on the Beach Fridays in Kings Beach, 6-8:30pm
Bring your beach chairs and blankets to Music on the Beach, free concerts that take place every Friday night, right next to the lake, on Kings Beach. Alibi Ale Works will be serving beer, with food by local vendors available as well. A variety of artists complete the line-up, including Reno’s American roots band Silver, afro-funk band Zanzibar, and roots/world blend Achilles Wheel, to name a few. Concerts run through August 31. Concerts on Commons Beach Sundays, 4-7pm
Hear music right on the lake in Tahoe City at Concerts on Commons Beach every Sunday, with a grassy lawn perfect for lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic food. Food trucks serve food, or cross the street to nearby restaurants and order something to-go. For bluegrass fans, hear Poor Man’s Whiskey. For funk lovers there’s Sacramento’s Idea Team, and Latin funk band Todo Mundo. A variety of other genres complete the list, including blues by Peter Joseph Burtt and the Kingtide.
