It's been a pretty amazing winter in North Lake Tahoe, and it's still not quite over! With snow still on the ground, Lake Tahoe ski resorts are going to be open for another week or so, if not longer in some cases! After a false start to spring skiing a couple of weeks ago and another storm or two, we finally have some great corn snow and warm days. Daffodils are starting to pop up, and they've started to plow the bike path to get it ready for summer.
We have some great deals on vacation rentals right now, so take advantage of the shoulder season to get a few last turns in on the slopes. Or, enjoy some early season hiking or biking.
In other news around town, the North Shore Hawaiian Grill opened up last week behind Pete n' Peters in Tahoe City. This authentic Hawaiian style plate lunch restaurant offers lunch and dinner, as well extended hours on Saturday night. The new owners are super friendly, and the food is excellent. In addition to the traditional plate lunch items, they also have a couple of veggie stir-fry options and Vietnamese Pho noodle bowls. They also offer Ohana Festival Packs To-Go for a picnic lunch at Commons Beach, as well as on-site event catering.
